Porsche 959, year 1988. Delivered: 13/4/1988. Chassis number (VIN):
WPDZZZ95Z JS900140, engine number: 65H00208, matching numbers. Colour
red with a grey leather interior and grey carpet. This tremendous
Porsche 959 has known one Dutch owner since the year 2005. In Germany
the automobile has known two previous owners. This 959 is in superb
(excellent+) original condition! The Porsche 959 was in 1987 the
technically most advanced sports car ever build, the fastest ever and
the first super sports car! This hallmark of automobile engineering can
be regarded as the Bugatti Veyron of the twentieth century. In the
Porsche history the 959 was the fastest production road car for a long
time. As late as in the year 2001 the 911/996 GT 2 could team up with
comparable specifications; a top speed of 315 km/h and an acceleration
from 0-100 km/h in about 4 seconds!
Driving a 959 is a VERY impressive experience. The 959 performs and
drives quite similar to a 2004 911/996 GT2 previously driven by the
ClassicarGarage. The 959 feels less sophisticated and refined but more
racy, bold and masculine. It is a true road race car, yet comfortable
with excellent road holding, explosive acceleration (without Turbo
lag), a magnificent engine sound and rugged feeling mechanics. Do never
under estimate this super sports car, it is seriously fast and yet easy
to drive.
In the years 1987 and 1988 only 292 Porsche 959 cars were build of
which 290 survive today. This scarce Porsche is a top specimen for the
connoisseur/collector. The car is in original top condition and the car
has recently undergone extensive service at Porsche Classic Center
(Porsche factory in Stuttgart.) The work done to the car is extensively
documented and the bill is present.
nice!
